ESDLab Welcomes Alliance Française Student for a Research Internship

During the internship, the student was introduced to ESDLab’s research lines and gained insight into the different stages of the scientific process. The program included an introduction to experimental design, hands-on demonstrations of laboratory equipment, participation in the lab’s weekly meeting, and discussions about ongoing research projects.

The student also had the opportunity to observe experimental sessions and learn how neurophysiological techniques, including electroencephalography (EEG), are used to investigate human cognition, emotion, and social decision-making. Throughout the internship, she was guided by ESDLab Principal Investigators Luis-Sebastián Contreras-Huerta and Felipe Rojas-Thomas, together with members of the research team.

At ESDLab, we believe that providing early exposure to scientific research is an important way to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and interest in neuroscience. We are grateful to Alliance Française for making this internship possible and look forward to continuing initiatives that connect young students with the world of research.

We thank all the members of ESDLab who contributed their time and expertise to making this internship a valuable and inspiring learning experience.
