A space for scientific discussion, project development, and student training in social neuroscience
The Emotion and Social Decisions Lab (ESDLab) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez has launched its Lab Meeting series, a recurring initiative aimed at fostering scientific discussion, academic collaboration, and student training in the fields of social neuroscience and decision-making.
These meetings bring together lab members and new participants in a collaborative environment to discuss the lab’s main research lines, as well as broader topics related to scientific development.
During the first session, the lab’s organizational structure, ongoing research projects, and the key role of students within the research ecosystem were presented. The discussion also focused on strategies to enhance active student participation across different stages of the scientific process.
The meeting was led by Sebastián Contreras-Huerta, Director of Research at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and Director of ESDLab, who shared strategic guidelines and future directions for the lab.
Through this initiative, ESDLab aims to strengthen its scientific community, promote critical thinking, and support the development of the next generation of researchers.
